Disturbed by President Nicholas Sarkozyâs repeated threats to Iran to impose more severe sanctions on Iran if it does not comply with the United States-led demand to discontinue its uranium enrichment programme for producing nuclear energy; CI urges President Sarkozy to respect IAEA findings, and to engage in diplomacy rather than threaten Iran and embark on a possible disastrous confrontation.Â

Concerned with the $7.5 billion investment being made by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) to bail out Citigroup from its huge losses due to mismanaged investments, CI has appealed to ADIA to rethink their deal as this oil money would be much more effectively used to help bail out OIC countries in debt and in helping to raise literacy rates and the from the ravages of occupation.Â
